About us
Travel infrastructure for Southern Africa
SavannahLink started with a simple observation: Southern Africa's itineraries are extraordinary and its ground logistics are fragile. We built the ground layer first — the vehicles, drivers, corridors and border processes — and then built a destination management company on top of it.
One company, two products
Why we keep both under one roof
SavannahLink DMC designs and operates programmes for tour operators, wholesalers and corporate buyers. It is a B2B business: STO rates, confidential pricing and no competition for our partners' end clients.
SavannahLink Transfers is the transactional side — published corridors, vetted vehicles, assisted borders. It serves our own DMC files, our partners' bookings and lodges that need a reliable arrival partner.
Keeping them together means the itinerary designer and the person dispatching the vehicle work from the same operating picture. That is the difference between a plan and a movement that actually happens.
How we operate
Four commitments
Operational honesty
If a connection is too tight or a road is too rough for the vehicle class, we say so before you sell it — not after your client is stranded.
Local teams only
Every country we sell has our own people or a long-standing contracted partner on the ground. No remote handling from a distant office.
Region, not silos
Borders are operational details, not commercial boundaries. One file can cross three countries and still be handled by one controller.
Responsible movement
Fleet route optimisation, fair driver rostering and preference for community-linked lodges and guides in every programme we build.
One company, one system
Shared regional operations behind both products
DMC programmes and transfer movements run off the same duty desk, the same contracted supplier register and the same partner account. Our partner portal is the first slice of that system — quoting stays human while we build the rest.
One login for both products
DMC files and transfer bookings sit behind a single partner account.
Manual quoting desk
Every request is priced by an operator, so cross-border and lodge legs are checked before you commit.
Shared regional operations
One duty desk sees drivers, files and suppliers across all seven countries.
Self-serve rates & instant confirmation
Published corridors first, then contracted land rates. Not connected yet.
Online payment & statements
Invoicing stays manual in this phase; card and EFT settlement come later.
Supplier & fleet portal
Operators will accept jobs and update movement status directly.
Our build order
How the network came together
Phase 1
The transfer network
Corridor-based ground transport launched across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia's Falls hub.
Phase 2
Regional expansion
Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique added, with assisted border crossings on the KAZA corridors.
Phase 3
The DMC
Full destination management for the travel trade, built on the operating data the transfer network produced.
Now
One connected platform
Two products, one operations desk, seven countries — sold exclusively through and alongside our trade partners.

Work with the ground layer
Whether you need a programme designed or a single arrival covered, you deal with operators, not a call centre. Email us first — our head office in Pretoria is also on WhatsApp, and we will happily schedule a call.
